With our combined 30 years of experience and knowledge we are able to consult effectively with Architects, structural engineers and site co-ordinators, to design and ensure we manufacture to specification and install on schedule in the most efficent manner. We hold CSCS & SSSTS cards to enable site construction work.
Oakhirst Metals is a stockist & manufacturer of Mild steel / Aluminium & Stainless steel products made to order, We have a 5000 sq ft warehouse where we can manufacture a one off or a batch run of products from small brackets to structural steel frame works, Staircases, Railings, Balustrades, Stainless steel & glass balustrades etc.
Welding Facility
We currently have the following welding facilities in our workshop or an onsite service:
- Mig welding for: Mild steel & Stainless steel
- Tig welding for: Mild steel / Stainless steel & Aluminium
- Arc welding for: Mild steel & Stainless steel & Cast Iron repairs
Cutting Capacity
We have 3 band saws that can carry out various duties:
- STG-440-DGH Semi Automatic Band saw that can cut up to 600 mm deep sections for U/B’s or U/C’s, box sections etc.
- CB-250 Fully Automatic Band saw that can cut up to 8” ( 200 mm ) Dia Billets.
- CH-250 Pull down cut off Band saw that can mitre up to 60 degrees one way.
Press Brake Folding Capacity
We have a 120 ton press brake machine that can fold up to 3000 mm long sections with good accuracy, This can fold the following thicknesses of materials:
- Aluminium x 8 mm thick
- Mild Steel x 5 mm thick
- Stainless Steel x 4 mm thick
Guillotining Facility
We have the facility to cut from 3000 mm long sheets with our Guillotine sheet cutting machine which can cut the following thicknesses of materials:
- Mild steel 12 mm
- Aluminium16 mm
- Stainless steel 8 mm
